Sutherland Shire Council is made up of five wards, each represented by three publicly elected Councillors. Your 15 Councillors are community representatives who make decisions about policies, strategies and important issues in Sutherland Shire.
The current Council term ended at midnight on Friday 13 September 2024. Local Government Elections were held on 14 September 2024.
The NSW Electoral Commission (NSWEC) will count votes and declare election results, which are expected to be announced between 1 and 3 October 2024.
We will update this page with information about the newly elected Councillors as soon as it becomes available from the NSWEC.
The new Council will elect the Mayor and Deputy Mayor at an Extraordinary Council meeting in early October, which will be announced in advance under Upcoming Meetings.
