Cr Louise Sullivan

Councillor Louise Sullivan was first elected to Sutherland Shire Council in 2021 and is a long-term local resident.

A qualified lawyer, risk and governance professional, Cr Sullivan is currently the Chief Operating Officer and Board Director for a leading construction materials business.

In a voluntary capacity, Cr Sullivan is the President of Netball NSW and through that role has a deep understanding of the wider sports sector and facilities needed for all sports to grow. As the mother of three active young children Cr Sullivan has also coached and umpired local junior teams over many years.

Cr Sullivan is passionate about preserving the Sutherland Shire’s local identity and access to beaches, parks and natural reserves, and for promoting more career opportunities for residents to work closer to home.

Cr Sullivan is a graduate of the Royal Military College, Duntroon and served actively as a Reservist Army Officer for over 13 years. She now contributes to support our veterans and their families as a Director of RSL NSW.

Cr Sullivan is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (FAICD), the Governance Institute of Australia (FGIA) and Chartered Governance Institute (FCG), and holds an unrestricted practising certificate with the Law Society of New South Wales.
