Coachwood Oval - Drainage Upgrade

Project background

We are delighted to let you know that Council will be upgrading the drainage system at Coachwood Oval.

Oval drainage upgrades are important to ensure the longevity and playability of sports field surfaces and to ensure continuity of sporting competitions throughout the season.  This will enhance the amenity of the open space for our whole community to enjoy an active lifestyle.

Project scope

The work includes:

• Installation of a subsoil drainage system.
• Minor turf remediation for drainage works.

Project schedule

Detailed Design - December 2023 (complete)

Tender - February 2024 (complete)

Site Establishment – August 2024

Practical Completion – end December 2024 (weather permitting)

Impacts during construction

The playing field will be closed during construction August 2024 Until January 2025.  There will be no access to the clubhouse available during this time.
