Cr Leanne Farmer

Councillor Leanne Farmer was first elected to Sutherland Shire Council at the end of 2021 and is a long-standing local resident.

Cr Farmer is the owner and operator of a community based in-home care and childcare provider, which supports families with NDIS funding and provides qualified carers to assist families with matters of everyday life.

Among the issues which drive Cr Farmer are her desire to foster a connected local community with a focus on advocating to assist young families, children and the elderly. Cr Farmer enjoys volunteering, sport and helping young adults through their tertiary studies transition into the workforce.

Cr Farmer is an advocate for sustainable future development in Sutherland Shire, for celebrating the community’s unique local identity and quality facilities, services and businesses, and for respecting the beauty of our natural environment.

Cr Farmer is a Member of North Cronulla Precinct Community Group and Executive Committee Member of the Australian In-Home Child Care Association.
