Cr Peter Scaysbrook

Councillor Peter Scaysbrook is serving his third consecutive term on Sutherland Shire Council, having first been elected in 2012. Cr Scaysbrook also served as Deputy Mayor from 2016-2018.

Cr Scaysbrook is a long-standing Sutherland Shire resident whose career history is primarily in metal manufacturing, initially connected to automotive original equipment and later in the mining industry. He also operated an engineering business at Taren Point for many years.

As an active committee member of the Georges Riverkeeper for several years, Cr Scaysbrook has an extensive track record in advocating for best practice management to protect natural resources and improve liveability along the Georges River.

Cr Scaysbrook believes sport and recreation will continue to be of great importance for our community as residents continue to seek and appreciate opportunities to lead an active lifestyle, and enhancement of public infrastructure to allow this will be critical. Clr Scaysbrook is an advocate for ensuring Sutherland Shire remains a highly liveable and inclusive community.
