Cr Marcelle Elzerman

Councillor Marcelle Elzerman was first elected to Sutherland Shire Council at the end of 2021.

In addition to working in several community engagement and customer-facing roles in both the private and public sectors, Cr Elzerman has extensive volunteering experience and is passionate about supporting local businesses and strengthening community connections.

Cr Elzerman is supported by the Department of State Development, Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning through the Women Leading in Local Government program.

With a strong passion for civic engagement, Cr Elzerman is eager to inspire residents to actively participate in Council’s decision-making processes, to promote a connected and informed Sutherland Shire community, and to deliver positive and practical improvements to local services and infrastructure.

Cr Elzerman is an advocate for accessible parks, playgrounds and sports grounds which allow residents of all abilities to lead active lifestyles and enjoy local outdoor spaces.

Cr Elzerman holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Notre Dame and is completing further Postgraduate studies.
