Camellia Gardens Events

Council handles all bookings for the Camellia Gardens. Permission is required to hold any ceremony or ceremony photography.

There are 4 bookable areas : (see location map )

The Gazebo (Area A) - Paved area maximum capacity 60 people & grassed area maximum capacity 100 people

The Duck Pond (Area B1) - Maximum capacity of 200 people.

The Rose Garden (Area B2) - Maximum capacity of 200 people

The Top Garden (Area C) - Maximum capacity of 100 people

Bookings are made for 2 hours for a ceremony or ceremony photography only or 3 hours for a ceremony plus photography (to include set-up and pack-up time).

Special Note regarding Areas A (Gazebo) and B2 (Rose Garden):

There is a colony of flying foxes roosting in the trees above these areas.

The flying foxes are most active during early evening hours and at night time however they may be in evidence in the trees during daylight hours.

Council is, at this stage, unable to take any steps to relocate the colony of flying foxes due to orders from the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage.

Whilst every effort is taken by the staff at the Gardens to keep the areas in a clean condition, the flying foxes are wild animals and Council is unable to guarantee the area will be free of any mess (which may include leaves, twigs and/or droppings) during your wedding ceremony/photography . Additionally the flying foxes do make some noise even during daylight hours which may affect your ceremony. We highly recommend that you visit the Gardens prior to finalising your booking and wedding plans to view the Gazebo and Rose Garden areas and decide if the flying foxes will have a negative impact on your wedding ceremony/photography. The Duck Pond and Top Garden at this stage, are not affected.
