1 St George Cres, Sandy Point

  • Boat ramp

We recently upgraded and extended the Sandy Point boat ramp to improve accessibility for recreational boating on this beautiful waterway.

The scope of works involved:

  • Construction of extended boat ramp
  • Construction of new gangway and floating pontoon, including launching platform for unpowered vessels
  • Repair of existing seawall and foreshore area
  • Dredging works

We thank the local community for their understanding while we carried out these works.

The project was jointly funded by Transport for NSW from their Boating Now Program and Council.

This is a single boat ramp. Limited street parking is available.

The water depth around the Sandy Point boat ramp is shallow which means the boat ramp may not provide suitable launching depth at low tide. The ramp is most suited to shallow draft vessels. Please consider the tide times when using the boat ramp and avoid launching or retrieving your boat during low tide.
