Facilities

The Bonna Point boat ramp includes a dual lane boat ramp with boat holding pontoon. A large car park services the boat ramp and accommodates parking for trailers. An amenities block, picnic facilities and a large, open reserve can also be found close to the boat ramp.

Sand on Ramp

From time to time, sand covers the Bonna Point Boat Ramp causing difficult launch conditions at low tide.  This is due to the underlying shallow conditions that occur around the ramp and the natural east-west movement of sand along Silver Beach.

We routinely clear this sand from the boat ramp when it becomes excessive, however weather conditions may exacerbate the amount of sand on the boat ramp.

In the interim, boats can be launched from the following boat ramps:

Hawkesbury Park Boat Ramp & Pontoon, Sylvania Waters

Holts Point Place Boat Ramp, Sylvania

Sylvania Boat Ramp, Taren Point

Notice

The seabed around the Bonna Point boat ramp is very shallow and these conditions extend from the toe of the boat ramp to 180m offshore. The shallow conditions mean that the boat ramp does not provide access at low tides and is most suited to shallow draft vessels. Please consider the tide times when using the boat ramp and avoid launching or retrieving your boat during low tide.
