Change of season
A two-week break between seasons allows us to repair, renovate and prepare playing fields for the new season. Change of season generally occurs in the last two weeks in March and the first two weeks in September.
You must obtain approval to use the fields during this time. Access may not be permitted due to heavy machinery carrying out changeover maintenance. We may request early access to fields that are not being utilised for finals so we can carry out the necessary work.
Change of season work could include:
- adjusting floodlight timers. (Any changes to timers outside of your allocation document may incur a fee).
- covering and uncovering cricket pitches.
- goal post installation and removal. (Soccer goals are generally installed and removed by clubs).
Clubs are responsible for the line marking of fields. Only water-based non-toxic line-marking paint is permitted. Where products or prohibited substances are used, clubs will be charged the cost of reinstating the field.
Where baseball is on a multi-use field, we will remove or build diamonds. Clubs are responsible for ensuring diamonds, once rebuilt, are fit for purpose.
