Sutherland Shire Council acknowledges Australia Day carries different meanings for every Australian/member of our community.
We have chosen a program of events to be reflective of the Australia Day Council theme: Reflect, Respect, Celebrate.
Commencing with a sunset cultural ceremony and including major concerts, outdoor cinemas and pool parties at our Leisure Centres, we’re delivering an epic program for our community over three days.

You’re invited to listen and learn about First Nations culture and storytelling at our Sunset Cultural Ceremony. Come along and enjoy an evening of reflection and join in the yarning circles, support local First Nations stallholders and a delicious Sutherland Rotary BBQ.

Don’t miss our iconic beachside concert featuring headline performers Jon Stevens will be headlining the concert, together with Paulini, Isaiah Firebrace, the Royal Australian Navy Band and local Nicola De Sensi concluding with a spectacular firework display over Cronulla beach.

Make a splash at one of our Leisure Centres pool parties with a DJ and free swim entry (between 10am and 2pm) at Caringbah, Engadine and Sutherland Leisure Centres.
