Exceeding National Quality Standard
Our centre enjoys a private aspect in the heart of Kirrawee, off President Avenue. We’re near Kirrawee train station and next to the commuter car park. This makes dropping off and picking up children easy for families.
Our central location also allows us to enjoy many local excursions and experiences.
Children love spending time in our new state-of-the-art playground. It's an important space – the same amount of learning occurs outdoors as it does indoors.
Our ‘outdoor classroom’ promotes active play. Children develop social skills, imagination, gross motor skills, expressive language and more.
Outside, children play on our climbing structure, slide and wooden teepee. They love riding trikes along our bike track. The sandpit and mud kitchen are popular for imaginative play. A covered deck provides all-weather fun including art experiences and mealtimes.
Our Centre Director has more than 20 years’ experience. She is a former director at other Council centres. She is knowledgeable about learning theories and children’s curriculum.
Our team is passionate about school readiness. The centre's holistic program promotes confidence, independence and active learning. These are essential ingredients for a successful start to kindergarten.
Our dedicated early childhood professionals are nurturing and dedicated. The smaller number of enrolled children at our centre allows us to support every child’s individual needs and goals. At the heart of our philosophy is close communication and collaboration with parents.
Our quality preschool program includes a deliberate combination of intentional teaching and spontaneous learning. It also reflects the children’s interests and each child’s learning goals.
We foster every child's love of learning. Children who are inspired to learn will thrive in every aspect of their development. They will ask questions, process information, try new things, be happy to share and collaborate, develop friendships, join in games, and know they belong to a community of learning.
Our creative early education programs follow the Australian Government's Early Years Learning Framework, the only government-approved learning framework for children under school age.
Our preschool program fosters:
Social and emotional skills are also important for primary school. We focus on children's development in these areas:
‘You care for our babies with so much love in your hearts. We feel safe knowing they’re with people who nurture and care for them like we do.’
‘We deeply appreciate the unique role you each play in adding value to the life of our most precious treasure. Fauna Place has laid such strong foundations in her life for a bright future.’
‘Thank you for always supporting our little family. You have an amazing ability to always make us feel like our daughter is the centre of the universe.’
