Community volunteer graffiti removal
Council organises and supports community programs and individuals who would like to volunteer to remove and prevent the application of graffiti. We encourage members of the public to become involved as community involvement is essential.
Current volunteers and squads remove graffiti from locations in Engadine, Alfords Point and Menai. The squads reduce the amount of time that graffiti remains visible, which results in a reduction of new graffiti. Council provides the materials and training.
Induction and training
To safeguard both the individual and Council, it is necessary for volunteers to be formally registered with Council and appropriately trained. This includes a compulsory on-line induction. Details of completing the on-line induction will need to be provided to Council.
Council appreciates every application it receives however at times it may be necessary to decline the services of a volunteer if skills do not match the required task.
