Project background

We are excited to update the community about our new Library Hub, which will support our whole community to learn, come together and make the most of digital services and new media.

Council consulted with the local community between 15 May to 30 June 2023 about the plans for an exciting new community space at South Village Kirrawee. We thank you for your feedback that has helped shaped this exciting new space.  Find out more.

Project scope

We are working with architects and design specialists to create a new flexible, technology focused space that supports our community to learn, come together and make the most of digital services and media.  More details will follow when the designs are finalised.

The design brief is to create a flexible community space to celebrate digital storytelling by providing:

  • study, co-working and meeting spaces
  • a large community bookable space
  • a dedicated screening events space
  • studio spaces (including a green screen and recording studio)
  • flexible bookshelves and self-service options.

Impacts during construction

As the shell of the new Library Hub is already built, impacts should be minimal and only with material deliveries to the site.
