MAYOR'S MESSAGE - The door to my office is always open

Published On 30 September 2020 at 12:00 PM

One of the many aspects I have enjoyed throughout my time on Sutherland Shire Council is the opportunity to meet with local residents and hear firsthand what matters are most important to them. I have always been in awe of the work that thousands of volunteers have carried out to support Council by any means possible and I wish to assure local residents that the door to my office is always open. My fellow Councillors also welcome the opportunity to discuss pressing issues with members of the community so they can effectively advocate on their behalf. That’s why I encourage any local residents who may have a particular matter they wish to raise with me or their Ward Councillors to get in touch so that we can ensure their concerns are addressed. In my first public engagement as Mayor I had the pleasure of meeting with some of our youngest constituents, children from Kurnell Public School, to officially welcome the latest addition to Bonna Point Reserve Playground, a sandstone turtle that will forever bear the name ‘Harmony’ thanks to Kindergarten student Daisy Condren. For those wishing to raise any issues of concern with me, I would encourage them to contact to secure an appointment.
