National Youth Week kicks off today and with school holidays and Easter around the corner, Sutherland Shire Council has a range of fun-filled activities for everyone’s enjoyment. To celebrate Youth Week, we have a great program of events to cater to all our young people, organised in partnership with a range of community organisations. Our free all-ages music festival ‘Beach to the Burbs’ is on this Saturday night and we have a range of activities for the kids to get out and enjoy the outdoors these holidays, including ‘scamper through the jungle’ and guided walking tours with our dedicated Bushcare team. For artistic kids, we have art themed fun at Hazelhurst Art Centre, including clay, drawing, painting and sculpture workshops. We also have some fantastic activities at our Libraries including “Where in the World” lantern making workshops and African drumming workshops. Our Leisure Centres will have plenty on for those who like to make a splash and Menai Indoor Sports Centre has its own program of fun, including the popular Bubble Soccer. Don’t forget to also visit Cronulla Easter Show. For the full school holiday program visit: www.sutherlandshire.nsw.gov.au/schoolholidays Have a safe and enjoyable holiday and Happy Easter!
