MAYOR'S MESSAGE - SUTHERLAND SHIRE WALK AGAINST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

Published On 21 November 2019 at 10:30 AM

This Friday I encourage everyone to join the Sutherland Shire Walk against Domestic Violence, formerly known as the Sutherland Shire White Ribbon Day Walk. The walk is a chance for us to come together in a show of support against violence in our community. Woolooware High School students will once again lead the walk, along with local police and community organisations, with the aim of changing attitudes and behaviours related to this type of violence. I would like to thank the Sutherland Shire Walk against Domestic Violence Committee who work so hard to coordinate this annual event and the school captains, students and teachers from our local schools who will participate in the day. If you would like to join us, please come to Don Lucas Reserve, Wanda for a 10.30am start on Friday and make a statement about the importance of eliminating family and domestic violence in the Sutherland Shire. #everystepcounts2019
