If you’re a motorcycle rider or interested in motorcycles, come down to Heathcote Oval this Sunday and be part of the 16th annual Breakfast Torque. Council is proud to again be hosting this incredible event here in Sutherland Shire, as part of Motorcycle Awareness Month. There will be stunt shows, opportunities to polish up on your riding skills and a simulated crash scene and response demonstration performed by a stunt rider. Expert safety advice and tips will also be on offer, as well as new products to browse and buy, a mini bike show by Sutherland PCYC Minibike Club and prizes drawn throughout the morning. Thanks to our sponsors and generous donations from local businesses, there will be $5000 worth of motorcycle-related prizes including helmets, jackets, tyres, servicing, ride days, training and memberships. Around 1500 people are expected to attend the event that will be hosted by radio presenter Chris Smith from 8am to 11am. There will also be live music, coffee vans and free breakfast for all riders. For more information on the Breakfast Torque, visit or call (02) 9710 0341.
