Fire Danger Ratings and Total Fire Bans

The NSW Rural Fire Service issue fire danger ratings which give an indication of the possible consequences of a fire should one start. Check the danger rating here.

The NSW Rural Fire service is also the authority that issues Total Fire Bans, as a way to reduce risk of fires flaring up on high fire danger days. A total Fire Ban means no fires are allowed in the open, brush up on the rules of a fire ban here.

Breaches of the total fire band should be reported to NSW Police.
