Project scope
We are upgrading this popular local wharf. The work includes:
- Removal of the existing timber substructure and superstructure.
- Installation of new fibre-reinforced polymer (FRP) joists, headstocks and piles.
- Installation of new timber decking and handrail.
This will improve safety, accessibility and usability for our community and visitors.

This project is fully funded by Sutherland Shire Council.

Yes, we expect the boat ramp will remain open during construction unless the preferred contractor needs to use it temporarily, for access during construction of the new wharf.
For safety, the wharf area will be closed during the construction period. Visitors are encouraged to explore other alternatives in the nearby location prior to their journey.
When the wharf reopens, it will be available for fishing.
