We will investigate issues related to:
- excessive smoke from wood heaters and fireplaces. These are regulated and our approval is required to install one. The NSW EPA provides advice on reducing wood smoke emissions
- backyard burning – this is prohibited
- industrial premises (not licensed by the EPA)
- commercial food businesses.
We also conduct regular environmental audits of industrial premises.
