President Ave Sutherland to Caringbah - Complete September 2025
Following a routine inspection of all trees along President Avenue, we are conducting tree pruning, removal works and planting along President Avenue from the Old Princes Highway at Sutherland through to the Kingsway at Caringbah.
Pruning and removal works are scheduled to commence on Monday 8 September concluding on Thursday 2 October. Planting will be undertaken between October and December.
In accordance with the Road Occupancy Licence issued by Transport for NSW, some of the pruning and removal works will be carried out during night-time hours and will take place Sunday to Thursday nights during this time frame.
We have engaged Treeserve to carry out the pruning and removal works. Notification letters have been distributed to affected residents via a letterbox drop.
In total, 223 trees will be pruned, and 21 trees will be removed across the corridor (refer to attached maps for details):
- Old Princes Highway Sutherland to Acacia Road Sutherland – 9 trees will be removed
- Oak Road Kirrawee to Hotham Road Gymea – 1 tree will be removed
- Gymea Bay Road Gymea to Wandella Road Miranda – 6 trees will be removed
- Wandella Road Miranda to Miranda Road Miranda – 2 trees will be removed
- Kareena Road Caringbah to Kanoona Street Caringbah – 2 trees will be removed
- Willarong Road Caringbah to the Kingsway Caringbah – 1 tree will be removed.
Following on from the pruning and removal works, replacement and offset plantings will be undertaken with 209 trees to be planted.
