Council offers a great variety of affordable social, recreational and leisure activities for all ages.
- Our Libraries provide an endless source of books and services including audio or e-books, a home library service, computer and internet help, family history resources, knitting groups and a local studies collection of the Shire they also run a range seminars and events.
- Our Leisure Centres offer aquatic and fitness based facilities and activities for active seniors. The GP Referral Scheme provides eligible seniors assistance to improve their physical activity levels through safe and supervised exercise programs.
- Hazlehurst Regional Gallery and Arts Centre houses an exciting range of exhibitions and runs a variety of art classes throughout the year. For film buffs there is a Film Club and Friends of Hazlehurst is another way to get involved.
- Sutherland Entertainment Centre holds top quality international shows to suit all tastes. It also hosts monthly Wednesday lunch or dinner movie specials. During Seniors Week make sure you come along to the annual seniors luncheon and concert.
