The playground was renewed in 2022 with new play equipment for a range of ages and abilities.  Paved pathways run through the reserve and synthetic softfall provides access to the play equipment.

Play equipment includes climbing fort with slide, activity panels, nature-based play, swings, spinner and stepping logs.  Facilities within the reserve includes picnic seating and toilets.

The reserve includes a monument to commemorate the first military wireless transmission in Australia. This historic event, which took place in Heathcote on 28 March 1910, was a momentous scientific achievement, and ultimately proved to be of great practical benefit to the Australian military during World War One.
