Gudyimburr Park in Miranda is a pocket park in the heart of the Miranda CBD, providing a welcoming green open space for the local community.

The park includes a nature play area and green space for all community members to enjoy, with fencing along the rail corridor to provide a safer area for children to play.  A shade structure and picnic shelter provide an opportunity to unwind.  The park is at the end of University Road adjacent to the railway line and a short walk to the Westfield Miranda Shopping Centre.

Gudyimburr is the Dharawal word for Red Gum, and Gudyimburr Park was named after the large Forest Red Gum at the southern end of the park.

Watch our video on the pronunciation of Gudyimburr, which was produced with the assistance of the Gujaga Foundation.
