Heritage Grants

You can apply for a grant to assist with the conservation of heritage buildings or items.

Council also provides grants for original publications documenting the heritage of Sutherland Shire.

These grants support conservation work on heritage-listed buildings or heritage publication projects.

2023-2024 Heritage Grants are now closed

Applications closed on 31 August 2023.

Heritage Building Grants are drawn from a shared pool of $30,000 and are provided to successful applicants on a dollar-for-dollar basis.

Heritage Publication Grants may be awarded up to $5,000.

Building Grants: Owners of heritage buildings listed in Schedule 5 of the Sutherland Shire Local Environmental Plan 2015.

Publication Grants: Authors seeking to publish original work on the heritage of Sutherland Shire.

Funding decisions are made by Council’s Heritage Subcommittee.
