BEACHES - For a COVID Safe Summer

This summer we call upon our beachgoers to do their part to keep our beaches COVID Safe by staying 1.5m socially distanced, observing limits on public gathering numbers, following directions from our lifeguards plus other authorities, and respect those who are working to keep our community safe this summer. Public places include beaches, public parks, reserves and gardens.

View our Open Space COVID-19 Management Plan which outlines how Council will manage our diverse open spaces in a way that supports safe and responsible community use, and adheres to Public Health Orders and directives from lead government agencies.

Check our website or sign up to our Facebook page for the latest Beaches alerts.

Thank you for following the directions to ensure you and those around you stay COVID Safe.

Beach Lifeguards

Cronulla beaches are patrolled by council's professional lifeguards as well as volunteer surf lifesavers. The two groups work together during summer to ensure the safety of the public while swimming at Cronulla’s four designated swimming areas - Cronulla beach, North Cronulla beach, Elouera beach and Wanda beach.
