To use the footpath area outside a shop for display purposes, you need to apply to council for approval under the Roads Act.
You may only apply to have a shopfront display directly outside your own business. There are also requirements to meet under the current the Advertising Specification. Teardrop banner displays are not permitted in Cronulla Plaza and other areas.
Once council receives your application, the area you wish to use will be assessed to check that it is suitable for your purpose.
If approval is given we will forward you an approval letter stating the rental fee with a remittance slip. You will be asked to pay for a security deposit of 3 months approval fee and your first approval fee.
You can elect to pay your fee annually, quarterly or monthly.
The application fee is $125.
