Printing, scanning and photocopying

Our mobile printing service allows you to upload documents and photos from your phone or computer to a printer at one of our libraries. Then simply visit your selected library, pay for your printing and collect your documents.

Choose a library to collect your printing from:

• Sutherland
• Cronulla
• Caringbah
• Engadine
• Kirrawee
• Menai
• Miranda
• Sylvania

You can print from our public computers at all libraries except Bundeena. Bookings are encouraged to ensure there is a computer available.

• Print files saved on portable USB drives.
• Print from the internet.
• Print from web-based email services such as Gmail, Outlook, etc.
• Create and print documents using Microsoft Office applications.

Scanning facilities are available at all libraries, except Bundeena. it is a free service.

• Scan documents and photos and send them directly to your email, or
• Scan documents and photos and save them straight to your portable USB drive.

You can make copies of documents up to size A3 at all libraries except Bundeena.

Credit can be added to your library card to pay for photocopying.

If you are not a library member, you can pre-authorise funds on your credit or debit card to pay for your copies. Any unused funds will be refunded to your account. This can take up to a week, depending on your bank.

The Library offers 3D printing for objects smaller than 150mm x 150mm x 150mm.

We print using PLA plastic (polylactic acid). PLA is suitable for objects that are kept inside and not exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods or temperatures above 60C.

3D printing is charged per hour of printing time. The current hourly rate is detailed in the Library Services Fees and Charges.

To make a request for 3D printing:

• Open our General Library Enquiry form
• Choose Computers and Internet
• Fill out the form and attach your .STL file to the request.

We will assess your file and follow up with a quote, and/or request further details if required, before we proceed.

3D printing is charged per hour of printing time. Individual quotes are provided before we proceed to printing.
