Andrew Carfield, Director Shire Planning

Andrew is an experienced local government executive leader with a wide range of capabilities across urban planning and policy, compliance and regulatory services, economic development, environmental programs and policy, infrastructure planning and delivery, municipal waste management, natural areas and open space management, community engagement, organisational strategy and strategic financial management.

Andrew has had international experience previously working in the New York City metro region, as well as over 14 years of executive level local government experience having previously roles as both the Director of Planning and Environment and the Director of Infrastructure and Works at Wollongong City Council.

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning, a Master of Urban Policy and Strategy and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
