Sutherland Shire Council acknowledges Australia Day carries different meanings for every member of our community.
We have chosen a program of events to be reflective of the Australia Day Council theme: Reflect, Respect, Celebrate.
Commencing with a Sunset Cultural Ceremony and including major concerts, outdoor cinemas and pool parties at our Leisure Centres, we’re delivering an epic program for our community over four days.

You’re invited to listen and learn about First Nations culture and storytelling at our Sunset Cultural Ceremony. Come along and take part in an evening of reflection. Join a yarning circle, support First Nations stallholders and enjoy a delicious Sutherland Rotary BBQ.
Kick back at the beach and feel the good vibes flow this Australia Day Long Weekend as you're entertained by artists at our Cronulla Vibes Concert. Bring your friends and family and experience great music against the backdrop of a spectacular Cronulla Beach sunset.

Don’t miss our iconic beachside concert featuring headline performer Daryl Braithwaite, together with Baby Animals, Dylan Wright, the Royal Australian Navy Band and local band Beanstalk, concluding with a spectacular firework display over Cronulla beach.

Make a splash at one of our Leisure Centres pool parties with a DJ and free swim entry (between 10am and 2pm) at Caringbah, Engadine and Sutherland Leisure Centres. Como Pool will also be open for our community to enjoy!
