Council partners with a range of organisations and groups to continue education and connection with First Nations peoples in Sutherland Shire.
We partner with Kurranulla Aboriginal Corporation and seek advice from local Elders and from La Perouse Local Aboriginal Land Council, Gandangara Local Aboriginal Land Council and Tharawal Local Aboriginal Land Council.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advisory Sub-Committee
The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advisory Sub-Committee is a regular forum for communication between the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members and Council to address and advance Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander issues within the Sutherland Shire.
