I am passionate about helping children to grow and develop. It's why I became a Family Day Care Educator almost 25 years ago.

My service has been part of Sutherland Shire Council's scheme since 1989. I paused my association with Council during a temporary move out of Sutherland Shire.

I have three children (two boys and a girl) who are now adults.

About my service

I provide a warm and nurturing environment for the children in my care. I pay particular attention to the needs of each child. I observe their skills and abilities, and tailor our curriculum to help them learn and grow.

Our daily program encompasses:

• language and literacy
• arts and crafts
• music
• cultural experiences
• physical activity promoting gross and fine motor skills
• sensory experiences
• free creative play
• community excursions and engagement

I enjoy strong relationships with parents and families. I encourage them to provide input into the programs I prepare for their child because children's outcomes are greater when families have input into their child's learning. At the end of each day I want both parents and children to be happy with the high quality care I provide.

About my facilities

My service is a two-minute drive from Old Illawarra Road and five minutes from Menai Marketplace. It offers easy access for those travelling from Sutherland, Menai or Engadine.

We offer quality indoor and outdoor play areas. Indoors, we enjoy many resources including educational toys, books, musical instruments and craft.

Outdoors, there is a large, grassed and well-shaded level yard. The children have many choices, including sports games, push along cars and a play kitchen.
