MAYOR'S MESSAGE - Mathers Place Reserve Playground Is Now Open

We know a huge part of what makes the Sutherland Shire such a great place to live is our beautiful outdoor spaces and the fantastic array of opportunities for local residents of all ages and abilities to play and stay active. That’s why Council is so pleased to recently unveil the new Mathers Place Reserve Playground at Menai.

MAYOR'S MESSAGE - Council Adopts Operational Plan 2020/21

Council has adopted the Operational Plan 2020/21 including Revenue Policy, Budget, Capital Program and Fees and Charges, completing the fourth year of the recently extended five-year Delivery Program 2017– 2022.

Private property owners in the Greenweb network are invited to apply for grants up to $2,000 to restore natural bushland on their property. The grants are available for work such as removal of invasive bushland weeds, regeneration and revegetation of natural bushland with local native plants and habitat creation and/or protection.

Residents across the Sutherland Shire have been granted further opportunity to have their say on the future management of the open coastline from Cronulla to Kurnell, with Sutherland Shire Council extending the period for public submissions into Council’s Bate Bay Coastal Management Program.
