Children at Sutherland Shire Council’s Bradman Road Menai Early Education Centre have created a mini artistic masterpiece with the help of one very talented educator at the centre, Fran Caruana.
Did you know that Council now utilises an app that can help you keep track of recycling and waste collection? The RecycleSmart app is free to download and provides residents with specific, up-to-date and localised information about bin cycles, waste events and what items can go in each of your bins.
Sutherland Shire Council’s libraries will now be more accessible to people with low or limited vision and children with autism, thanks to a $7,500 ‘Great Expectations’ grant from Ability Links NSW.

Private property owners in the Greenweb network are invited to apply for grants up to $2,000 to restore natural bushland on their property. The grants are available for work such as removal of invasive bushland weeds, regeneration and revegetation of natural bushland with local native plants and habitat creation and/or protection.
Sutherland Shire Council, in collaboration with Dementia Australia, The Brain and Mind Centre, Southcare, and Neuroscience Research Australia has organised a Maintain Your Brain information seminar to give an overview of the latest research on dementia and give tips and tricks to maintain a healthy brain.
