Walk the Walls is back and is coming to Cronulla this weekend. Kicking off on Friday, 35 local, Indigenous and national artists will descend on streets, laneways and rail corridors across our beautiful beachside suburb, creating an outdoor art gallery and exhibition for the entire community to enjoy. Walk the Walls is jointly funded by Council and the NSW Government and this year’s theme is ‘Sustainable Coastal Cronulla’. The festival forms part of our commitment to crime prevention across Sutherland Shire, reducing graffiti vandalism and providing a boost to the local economy. This year’s event also coincides with Australian Music Week, so the streets of Cronulla will be absolutely buzzing with art and musical entertainment. This year we will have a youth mural, a ‘Walk Through Time’ seniors mural and we’ll even have a pop-up library offering a virtual reality experience. I’m so excited that we are again hosting this free outdoor festival for our community and I hope you enjoy exploring everything Cronulla has to offer this weekend.
