MAYOR'S MESSAGE - Mathers Place Reserve Playground Is Now Open

Published On 30 July 2020 at 04:00 PM

We know a huge part of what makes the Sutherland Shire such a great place to live is our beautiful outdoor spaces and the fantastic array of opportunities for local residents of all ages and abilities to play and stay active. That’s why Council is so pleased to recently unveil the new Mathers Place Reserve Playground at Menai, the latest in a series of playgrounds that we have either constructed or substantially revitalised right across the Sutherland Shire. Children of all ages have the opportunity to explore an assortment of activities, such as a climbing unit, spider net, rock climbing wall, imagination play panels, pommel walkers and a cargo net. Park visitors can also swing, slide and spin on various play equipment, while older park visitors can challenge themselves on the new fitness equipment available. Sutherland Shire Council is committed to providing fun and safe places for local residents to play and explore right across the Sutherland Shire, and we look forward to seeing local residents enjoying time spent in these quality public spaces for years to come.
