This Sunday, come down to Parc Menai between 10am and 3pm for Council’s annual Bushcare Fair. It’s Sutherland Shire’s most exciting Bushcare event and will include displays, demonstrations, a native animal show, native plant sales and talks on everything from composting to identifying native plants. We will be celebrating the Bushcare Big Day Out, which is a national day to raise awareness about Bushcare and Landcare organisations throughout the country. The Bushcare Fair is a great opportunity for our community to come together and find out how they can lend a hand to restore and maintain our urban bushland spaces. You can meet some of our Bushcare volunteers, as well as staff and  representatives from the Australian Plant Society, Wires, Rural Fire Service, National Parks, Council’s Science Unit and also our Greenweb team. So, bring the family along and enjoy all the activities on offer while learning about our beautiful bushland areas.
