Weapons for the Soldier catalogue

The catalogue accompanied Weapons for the Soldier, a major exhibition bringing together over 40 Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australian artists to examine complex themes of weaponry, warfare, and protecting land and country.

Weapons for the soldier is a partnership project between the artists and art centres of the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands and Hazelhurst Arts Centre.

Initiated by the young men of the APY Lands, Vincent Namatjira, Aaron Ken, Derek Jungarrayi Thompson, Anwar Young and Kamurin Young, with support from senior artists Willy Kaika Burton, Ray Ken, Peter Mungkuri, Mumu Mike Williams and Frank Young.

Cost: $25.

Format: Softcover, 148 pages.
