Paper, foam backing
I cut, rolled and shaped 3mm strips of paper into different forms then meticulously glued them onto a foam backing using tweezers. I used paper as my material and the detail and intricacies of my technique to signify a kind of fragility. My aim was to conjure curiosity and admiration within the audience as the ambiguous and abstract forms allow for personal interpretations. Although my initial inspiration was microscopic plant life, where beauty is often overlooked and unseen, in the end my artwork has multiple interpretations.
