Suspended Fragments of Time
Collection of works
Photo paper, wood, foam board, dressmaker pins, overhead sheets
Our minds build memories from small fragments of time – suspended when captured in film. Our memories are compromised; ensnared by our own subjective worlds claiming to compose objective reality. Translating oppositions such as sky and water allows us the opportunity to view the fluid state that binds who we are. My photography is dismantled and pieced together, arranged as an intricate puzzle to demonstrate the way in which our minds construct our memories; as a complex and finely tuned whole, assembled according to our movements and how we place importance on what we perceive as individuals.
