
Our Austswim and Swim Australia qualified instructors teach a balance of water safety and swimming skills in a friendly and safe environment. The program is structured for two levels of water awareness and 5 levels for learn-to-swim.

18 months - 3 years. With the teacher's assistance the parent/ carer helps the child to become confident in the water and learn about water safety

Confidence skills, water safety and evidence of water familiarisation are achieved in the group. Children will learn to float, do a torpedo and dog paddle independently.

These children are comfortable in the water and can float and dogpaddle independently. They will be taught freestyle arms and kick on their back

Basic freestyle is taught to these children, who have good coordination of arms and legs. Two-stroke breathing and backstroke arm techniques are introduced and reinforced until the children are capable of moving to the next level

The freestyle stroke is strengthened in this level. Children learn fourstroke breathing and backstroke arm and leg techniques. Children's stamina is increased

These children have the strength and stamina to swim backstroke and freestyle using bilateral breathing. Technique and body position are focus points of this group

These children are capable of swimming 50m in both freestyle and backstroke. the lesson has elements of endurance work and stroke correction which strengthens students for the requirements of squad training. The basic techniques of breaststroke and butterfly are also introduced.

Bookings
To book your child into Splashers Swim School, you will be required to undertake the free assessment so the supervisor can advise you on the most appropriate class for your child. Bookings can be made at the swim school reception either by phone on 9548 4200 or in person.
Swim School reception times
Monday to Friday: 9.00am - 12.00pm and 3.00pm - 6.00pm
Saturday: 8.00am - 11.00am
Sunday: First two weeks of term and last week of term
Class times
Swim school and squad programs are conducted six days a week.
Splashers Swim School times
Monday to Friday: 9.00am - 12.00pm and 3.30pm - 6.30pm
Saturday: 8.30am - 12.00pm
Classes are 30 minutes in duration (sharks run for 45mins)
No swim school programs are conducted on Public Holidays.
Progression
Students are placed in the appropriate level for their ability. Progress is monitored throughout the term by the instructor and supervisor on the pool deck. To progress to the next level, each swimmer has a list of skills that must be accomplished.
Please do not try and rush your child through the system. All children work at a different pace so patience and understanding is very important. If you have any questions about your child's swimming, please see the supervisor on the pool deck.
Re-booking
Preference is given to children currently enrolled in Splashers Swim School. It is important that you enrol at the required time to ensure your place is secured. We cannot guarantee your position if your enrolment is late. For the same day and time, bookings are taken in the last month of the current term. New bookings are taken from the designated date.
Payment
Payments are made in advance on a school term basis and the cost includes one child's entry and one spectator's entry at the time of class only. Passes must be presented on entry. Please note,Splashers Swim School has a no refund policy.
Make-up lessons
Make-up lessons are only given when a child is sick. Notification is required by 9am for morning lessons and 3.30pm for evening lessons on the day of the lesson. Make-up classes do not replace the normal class or reduce next term's fees. Make-up classes may only be taken by current, fully paid members within the term in which the class was missed. To book a make-up class call the swim school reception on your preferred day to check availability.
Cancellations
After four consecutive lessons have been missed you may apply for a credit. A form is to be completed at front reception with a doctor's certificate attached if applicable.
Important Guidelines
- Children under 10 years of age must have a parent, or adult, in the centre at all times during the swimming lessons
- If your child has a specific learning problem or disability that may affect their capability whilst in the water, please let the supervisor know before the start of the lesson and indicate when booking at reception.
- Caps, goggles and kickboards are recommended for all groups starting with the Frys level
- Composite classes may occur without prior notice and children will be taught according to ability
- Due to different day to day operations, Splashers Swim School programs will vary accross each centre
