NSW Police Swim Test

All applicants in the NSW Police Force must undertake the Aquatic Rescue Sequence. The Sequence replaces the current 100 metre swim test certficate requirement. Sutherland Shire Leisure Centres are accredited to assess applicants for this test.

On the day of the test you will need to:

  1. Present your drivers licence or other photo identification
  2. Provide a printed copy of the NSW Police Force Aquatic Rescue Sequence Instructions (PDF 78.71 KB)
  3. The blank Certificate of Aquatic Rescue Sequence form will be filled out by the assessor.
  4. Bring a pair of light weight pants and a short sleeve shirt for the test.
  5. Make a $10.00 payment to cover pool entry and all associated costs of performing the test. This entitles you to one attempt only. Further assessment attempts will require payment of an additional fee.


Appointment times are Monday to Friday 1:45pm for 2:00pm start. If you cannot make this time slot, please contact our swim school supervisor to arrange another time.
