Potter Point Shorebird Tour - 7 March

Gary Dunnett, Senior Natural Heritage Officer, Office of Environment and Heritage will lead this walk from Potter Point to Boat Harbour on Cape Solander to observe the shorebirds of the Kurnell Peninsula. Several migratory shorebirds will be changing into their breeding plumage prior to their departure for the Arctic Circle to breed. The walk is about 3 km return over a mix of beach, rock platform and sandy track. Telescopes and binoculars will be available for viewing the birds at their high tide roost.
