Council's Ageing Strategy
An Ageing Strategy has been developed by the council to recognise what is needed now to prepare for an ageing population in 2030.
The goal is to highlight what we need to change, start doing or do differently. The three main areas focus on what council will do, what residents can do as individuals what other organisations in the community can do.
Simple assets such as accessible footpaths, transport networks and community infrastructure are high on the list of priorities when it comes to creating an environment that will allow our ageing residents to continue to flourish.
