Historical Studies and Pathfinders
Shire Scandals
In March 2011, Emma Baker gave a talk about the 'Shark Arm' case. In 1935, a Shark being held in the Coogee Aquarium Baths disgorged a human arm. Forensics revealed that the Shark was not responsible for the death of the victim and a subsequent murder investigation ensued. An investigation that led to the shores of Cronulla. You can now watch this fascinating talk below:

Historical Studies
This series of pamphlets, produced by Council, ceased publication in the 1990's.
They are being made available here, for school projects and general interest as much of the historical information is still of use.
Pathfinders
Sutherland Shire Libraries has created a Cronulla Beach Pathfinder for the benefit of students and researchers. The guide contains a list of the various resources held in the Central Library, Sutherland relating to the pollution and erosion of Cronulla Beach.
