Study Resources (all subjects)

Exams

Past HSC exam papers and notes from the marking centre are available from the NSW Board of Studies web site.

HSC standards packages from the NSW Board of Studies use actual student answers to provide a guide to high-, medium- and low-level achievement in HSC examinations.

Online multiple choice practice questions are provided by the NSW Board of Studies for the 29 subjects that have a multiple choice component in the HSC Examinations.

Study guides

There are study guides for most HSC subjects from publishers such as Excel and Macquarie. These guides briefly cover the content of each subject's syllabus and are designed to assist students with their study and revision. In addition, there are study guides for most of the HSC English texts and prescribed areas of study.

Study Guides can be located in the Library Catalogue by doing a general keyword search for the name of a subject, along with the words 'study guides'. For example, modern history study guides.

Support material

Online Databases allow you to search for newspaper, magazine and journal articles on any topic in the Library's collection of online databases.

We have recommended websites saved in Delicious to help you study for your HSC.

HSC Syllabuses for all subjects are available from the NSW Board of Studies web site.

Bored of Studies contains hundreds of notes and past papers from more than 30 subjects studied in the HSC. The materials are provided by previous HSC students and the site editors, as well as past trial and HSC papers from various schools around NSW.
