Local centres provide a range of services including retail, business, community and entertainment functions that service a wider catchment than the neighbourhood centres. Local centres include Jannali, Gymea and Kareela.
B2 zone uses
Business zones are now open zones, where only the prohibited uses are specified and all other uses are permissible. The benefits of this method is that new uses that are not encompassed into dictionary definitions are permissible, provided they are consistent with the objectives of the zone.
Commercial premises, such as shops and offices, medical centres, shop top housing and food and drink premises are all permissible uses in the zone.
Prohibited uses in the zone include Heavy Industries, Industrial retail outlets, and Sex services premises.
For the full list of permissible and prohibited uses please view the SSLEP2015.
