We prefer that you lodge your application personally at our Customer Service Centre between 8.30am-4pm so that we can check to see that you have completed the form and appropriate required information package and have all the necessary information. Applications received after 4pm will be processed the following working day.

Applicants lodging a single application with a cost of proposed works valued over $1 million or lodging 2 or more applications at the same time will find it more convenient to make an appointment. There is no requirement to make an appointment, but doing so will minimise your waiting time.

Hard copy documents
How many copies?
Council requires 1 hard copy of all plans and supporting documents. This must be accompanied by a soft copy (on CD or USB) of all plans and documents. The DA form is only required in hard copy.
Please include one paper copy of the following:
- Application form and Required Information Checklist
- All plans
- Statement of Environmental Effects
Soft copy documents
The supporting documents are to be supplied to council in digital format as PDF documents on a CD/DVD/USB. The CD/DVD/USB will become the property of council. The plans should be to scale (1:100 @ A3) and rotated to landscape. Black and white plans need to be 300 dpi and coloured plans can be at a lower resolution.
Photos and photomontages may be provided as JPEG images.
Plans and drawings each require a separate PDF file using Council's naming conventions. Please note that it is no longer necessary for floor plans to be lodged as a separate pdf document to other architectural plans.
DA applications can be found in DA Tracker. Note documentation provided with an application may be accessed in accordance with the requirements of the GIPA Act (with the exception of floorplans and internal layouts).
Fees are calculated on a scale based on the estimated cost of development (and also the number of lots in the case of subdivision).

You can pay cash between 8.30am and 4.00pm, Monday to Friday.
Please note that development applications will only be received between the hours of 8.30am and 4pm on working days. Any applications received after this time will be processed the following working day. Payments for applications left with council after 4pm must be by cheque only.

Your application won't be formally lodged until the full and correct fees have been paid AND the application has been checked for accuracy and completeness. This isn't always a quick process, and if the Development Enquiry Officers already have a queue you may prefer to leave your application with Council. Most of the time it will be reviewed and available on Track within 1 or two business days. We will email you an invoice and you can BPay the fees. The application is considered lodged once it has been checked, the necessary information has been provided and the fees have been paid.
