About Hungry Point
Hungry Point Reserve is an important landmark with rich environmental, Indigenous and European heritage. The reserve is Crown Land, under the care and control of the Hungry Point Reserve Trust. Sutherland Shire Council provides operational assistance to the Trust.
The long term intention of the Hungry Point Reserve Trust is to open the site to the public as a regional recreational area which both conserves and capitalises on the reserve's significant qualities. This will include the re-use of existing buildings where appropriate.
The Hungry Point Reserve Trust has prepared a draft Strategic Masterplan to guide the future development of the site. The Trust is seeking comment on the draft Strategic Masterplan.
Community consultation is between 5 October and 16 November and will assist in finalising the draft Masterplan and ultimately help shape the development of the site towards becoming an open area for the public.
