About Hungry Point
Hungry Point Reserve is an important landmark with rich environmental, Indigenous and European heritage. The reserve is Crown Land, under the care and control of the Hungry Point Reserve Trust. Sutherland Shire Council provides operational assistance to the Trust.
The long term intention of the Hungry Point Reserve Trust is to open the site to the public late 2018, as a regional recreational area which both conserves and capitalises on the reserve's significant qualities. This will include the re-use of existing buildings where appropriate.
The Hungry Point Reserve Trust has prepared a draft Strategic Masterplan to guide the future development of the site.
Community consultation on the Draft Masterplan was undertaken between 5 October and 16 November 2016.
