Loading Zones
Report: IIlegal parking
A Loading Zone is a length of road (a clearly signed parking area) set aside for short term use by certain vehicles when loading and unloading goods in the course of business or when dropping off or picking up passengers. Loading Zones are used by vehicles that are principally designed and constructed for carrying goods. These Loading Zones on public roads are administered under legislation - Road Rules 2008 (Rule 179).

- (E) A motor vehicle constructed principally for the conveyance of goods (other than a vehicle referred to as item (D) above). These vehicles may park up to 30 minues while dropping off of picking up goods

A public bus is a vehicle that can seat more than 8 adults and is used commercially. This does not include private people-mover type vehicles
The majority of 4WD vehicles, hatchbacks and other coupe and sports typ vehicles are NOT defined as station wagons under NSW Regulations. These vehicles are not principally designed and constructed for carrying goods and therefore, they are excluded from parking in loading zones
